Joelle Anderson, a lifelong student of movement, is a professional choreographer, dancer, teacher, and a registered yoga instructor.
She completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training through OM Factory NYC under the tutelage of Taryn Vanderhoop and Blair Ritchie. She also has a 30-hour "Spirit Speak" certification under the direction of the internationally recognized Seane Corn. Joelle is a graduate of The Ailey School, the official school of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Her professional training program also includes studies at the Joffrey Ballet School.
While engaged in her dance training, Joelle began to explore the practice of yoga and immediately realized the positive effects it had on her mind, body and soul. Each breath during the flow from one asana has opened her to the gratitude, respect and love that comes with the knowledge of the light that connects us all.
In her classes, Joelle hopes to help others connect with their most buoyant and authentic selves. She believes the effects of yogic breath and physical practices are magical. She is inspired by the continuous evolution of yoga and cannot wait to share it with her students! Come visit Joelle when she is teaching Breath and Slow. Claire is a creative, soulful, genuine and authentic human being. As a graduate from York College of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's in Fine Art, Claire continues to live out her passion through personal work and teaching private lessons. She has always been comfortable getting lost within the rhythm of her paint brush. Once yoga had been introduced to her in 2008; Claire's art form expanded into the realms of breath and body. Both have become therapeutically focused on the feeling and what will emote while grooving in the flow. She is 200hr Yoga Alliance certified through Indigo Yoga with Stephanie Parcells and Cindy Romano, 30hr Yoga Alliance certified through Spirit Speak with Seane Corn, and a certified Reiki Level 1&2 Practitioner. She is looking forward to making yoga an accessible art form to all through teaching. Come visit Claire when she is teaching Yin and Yang, Breathe and Friday Flow. My yoga journey began nearly 4 years ago in the summer of 2015 when I attended my first yoga class with a group of friends as part of a 30th birthday party. It was love at first bend; I was hooked. Fast forward to 2018 when I decided to take my love of yoga to the next level and become a yoga instructor. It's amazing being able to share my passion for yoga with others. Stefani found yoga and meditation in 2012 while trying to manage severe anxiety and panic attacks--a practice that has truly changed her life since. A seeker of knowledge, divine moments of truth and pure love, her philosophy is that in yin moments we turn inward and nurture our calm, quiet center in this intense world that we live in. Stefani received her 200hr YTT at The Yoga and Healing Center in Scotch Plains and is certified through the National Yoga Alliance. She gained an additional accredited 100 hours of advanced Yin Yoga Training under Naomi P. Fox and is also a Level I Reiki Practitioner. Stefani has accredited certifications in Trauma Informed Yoga as well as LoveYourBrain, for those impacted by a Traumatic Brain Injury.
Stefani is drawn towards a spiritual way of living and the mind body connection. Her yin classes focus on healthy breath awareness, and the encouragement of a safe environment to heal and honor the body, just as it is at this moment. Honoring each moment, cultivating gratitude for all, practicing for Now. She is dedicated to sharing with her students the power of moving energy through the body and mind consciously with compassion and grace through asana, pranayama and meditation--to begin to truly and deeply heal more than what is on the surface. Over the years Kris has committed her professional work to non-profit organizations in the trauma field as a counselor or supervisor. While working within the field, Kristina was able to identify the need for a holistic method including body, mind and spirit. The impact of her experiences motivated her to obtain her certification in yoga. Through NJ Yoga Teacher Training under the guidance of Stephanie Parcells and Cindy Romano, Kristina earned her 200 hour yoga teacher certification.
Wanted to deepen her knowledge, Kristina engaged in a week long teacher immersion with world-renowned yoga teacher Seane Corn through Spirit Speaks. Through this training Kristina was able to learn how to tap into the Junigian philosophies and combine them with the eight limbs of yoga to create a deeper flow sequence while teaching. After YTT Kristina obtained her 50-Hr Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Certification though BodyWise Foundation. BodyWise Foundation offers trauma-informed yoga programs, professional trainings, and international aid to facilitate healing trauma. In addition to the in-depth trainings, Kristina is also a Reiki II practitioner and certified in Restorative and Prenatal Yoga. Wanting a location that will that allow people to feel safe, free and comfortable while moving and meditating, Kristina found and renovated a space adjacent to the existing Peace of Mind Counseling practice. Due to the location and nature of the practice, Kristina’s dreams of combining all forms of health and wellness have come to fruition. Come visit Kris when she is hosting Yoga Group Therapy. She prioritizes coordinating movement with breath to create a meditative-like practice and “dance” on the mat. In addition to teaching, Catherine is a wife and mother to two children.
